"The 1975 Boys Varsity team has been regarded as one of the top 10 best lacrosse teams in Calhoun Lacrosse history. The team recorded a regular season record of 14 wins and 2 losses in South Shore Division Three. The two losses came against eventual play off rivals Elmont (1975 NY State Champions) and Levitown Memorial HS.

During the regular season the Colts recorded 204 goals on offense and only 74 goals against. The team was a dominant scoring machine and possessed a fast punnishing defense. In one game Calhoun scored 4 goals in 43 seconds.

With two regular season losses against rivals Elmont and Levitown Memorial, Calhoun ended the regular season facing LM in a quarter round playoff game at Calhoun beating LM 17-9.

The next round of playoffs was against South Shore Two power house Uniondale. Uniondale just knocked off South Shore Three Division Champs Berner in a close game 7-6. The Semi final game agaist was played on the turf at Hofstra University on a 100 degree day in late May.

The game went back and fourth untill the second quarter when Uniondale went a head through man up situations by the score of 5-2. Calhoun eventually came back and with 1 minute left in the game scored the game winner beating Uniondale 8-7.

Calhoun then played Elmont for the South Shore Final Championship game at Hofstra. The game was close through out, however a series of man down plays helped Elmont pull away from Calhoun beating us 8-3 for the Championship. Elmont went on to win the NYS Championship that year.

The 75 season was a memorable one setting offensive and defensive records." - Paul McNamee
